Magnolia Mahjong began with a simple idea: bring people together, teach a beautiful game, and make it feel approachable, joyful, and just a little bit fabulous.

I’m Sherri Coarsey, the face behind Magnolia Mahjong—a longtime educator, certified mahjong instructor, and firm believer that learning should feel fun, not intimidating. After years in the classroom, I found my way to mahjong and quickly fell in love with the strategy, the tradition, and most of all, the connection it creates around the table.

What started as a few classes in South Georgia has grown into a thriving community of women (and a few brave gentlemen!) who gather to learn, laugh, and play. From beginner-friendly lessons to league nights, themed events, and now a curated shop of mahjong-inspired pieces, Magnolia Mahjong is about more than tiles—it’s about creating an experience.
